From Global Brands to Homegrown Icons
Before founding Qwerty, Robert spent seven years as an Art Director at Ennemm advertising agency, leading creative campaigns for major Icelandic clients including Síminn, Ölgerðin and Íslandsbanki. Since then, he has gone on to build and shape the identity of some of Iceland’s most recognizable consumer brands.
As a graduation project earning him his Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Robert created the name, logo, and packaging for Boli, now one of Iceland’s best-known beers. He later developed the full brand identities for Old Islandia Gin and Myrká Whisky, crafting every detail from storytelling to shelf presence.
Robert also designed the complete brand for ICE, Iceland’s only nicotine pouch brand — now exported to over 20 countries worldwide. Alongside the creative, he has extensive experience managing packaging regulations, alcohol compliance, and adapting products to meet diverse international standards.

Branding Meets Digital
Qwerty bridges the physical and digital with ease. In addition to packaging and print, Qwerty designs modern user interfaces and digital brand experiences. Most recently, Robert served as UI Lead for Treble Technologies, collaborating closely with the front-end team and contributing to the Treble App's UX strategy and implementation through early 2025.
Qwerty also designed and developed the website for Borealis Data Center (bdc.is) using Framer — handling every detail of the site without the need for traditional coding. From layout and typography to micro-interactions and animations, the final product is not only clean and modern, but also scores exceptionally well in Google’s PageSpeed Insights, performing very strongly across Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO.
For Reykjafell, Iceland’s leading electrical wholesale company, Qwerty is responsible for everything brand-related, including a full website redesign. Working closely with development partner Kodo, Qwerty created a feature-rich e-commerce platform tailored specifically to electricians and industry professionals. With complex product filtering, professional pricing, and seamless UX, the site has played a key role in boosting revenue and solidifying Reykjafell’s market position.
